HN-31 Cantenna Dummy RF Load ---------------------------- The Heathkit HN-31 was designed as a small convenient package capable of handling a kilowat of power. The oil-cooled, temperature stable resistive element provides a very low VSWR up to 400 mHz. A special circuit is incorporated to provide a DC voltage for monitoring relative output power via. a phono socket. Connection to load is via an SO-239 coax connector. Transformer oil or mineral oil should be used, not motor oil. Motor oil has too low a vaporizing temperature. It should be filled at least 1/4" above the shield tube.
